My first "blog" post

It was 5 years ago, when I was in 10th standard, I heard of the term "social networking". A friend of mine came by my house one day and made me join a network, commonly known as "orkut", which of course all of you might be knowing now very well. But at that time, I was totally unaware of what to do after creating an orkut profile. But after a few years when I started getting a touch with it, Facebook started its revolution. So I had to join Facebook when all my classmates started teasing me for being alive in Orkut and unborn in Facebook. Now at present I'm an active user in Facebook, aware and a user of almost all its applications and gadgets.
Recently, I had this seminar in our college about "The New Media", in which she explained about the new generation media which generally involves social networking, blogging, internet news etc etc. She even showed us a blog she had been writing. Several thoughts came to my mind: "Let me try that new 'blogging' thing", "What is gonna be my blog title", "Thats a pretty blog she is having" and plenty other thoughts, you know, since I was sitting with my friends..!!! The second thought might be the longest thought I had: about bringing up a name to my blog. So finally I got up with name: "My virtual diary". I was kind of thinking about some philosophical terms and terminologies to make the title catchy, but I finally hung around with this. Now just as I was confused about what to do when I first joined those networking websites, I'm confused here as well. I'm just not familiar with the kind of posts I'm supposed to post for a blog, the way to make others follow our posts or atleast read our posts and other applications for a blog. Well I hope time would help in giving me a solution for that. Thats all for my first post. Stay tuned for more (if you atleast think this one is above "poor").
